Patient Edu's
Patient Education Programs for Practices
Versatile interactive software delivery system.
Patient Edu's interactive software delivery
system is designed for use in your practice. It can be used
in the waiting room, patient lounge or the patient examining room. The
system provides
diagnosis specific
information which helps the patient to be better informed and prepared
for the procedures prescribed for them. The program also sends
an important message
to the patient regarding the provider’s commitment to communication.
Patient
Edu's Patient Education Delivery System can run on any PC workstation
with media playback capabilities including Tablet PCs and kiosks.
Easy to understand content.
Patient Edu's Clinical Patient Education system uses full motion digital video with animated three-dimensional graphics to present complex medical information in an easy to understand format. All content is written for people with a 6th to 8th grade education. The program content contains a wide range of information including topics on basic anatomy, diagnosis, treatment and procedures along with sections on rehabilitation and healthy living. In addition, it includes valuable data collection capabilities to allow the practice to capture patient information and feedback automatically without using staff time.
Two versions of the software to meet your hardware and delivery system needs better.
Patient Edu now has two versions of their software delivery system for practices: the Patient Edu Networked Software Delivery System and the Patient Edu EZ Patient Education Solution stand-alone version. The EZ offers the same fine Patient Edu content and easy to use software interface as the networked version, but without the formal database and server requirements. The EZ is designed for small practices, physical therapy centers and outpatient clinics where networking is not a requirement. The EZ may be licensed by specialty and can be delivered on a portable USB drive. Plug it into your Tablet PC, laptop or multimedia capable PC computer and begin using it.
An intuitive easy to use interface.
A clinician can easily assign content for a patient by selecting topics appropriate for each patient’s specific condition. These topics are instantly joined together by the software into a custom presentation for the patient. The Patient Edu Software Delivery System can deliver the content to the patient in the practice or online for the patient and their family to view at home. The programs are also available in DVD or VHS format so that they may be given to the patient and family to take home with them.
Printouts of the Cardiology content may be viewed or printed and handed to the patient. The system is also available with ExitCare® Patient Education printable discharge instructions in multiple languages including Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Vietnamese.

Our patient education information is based on national standards of care from nationally recognized organizations. In the cardiovascular service line, for instance, this includes such organizations as the ACC, AHA, STS, Heart Rhythm Society and others. A multi-disciplinary committee of physician and nurse content experts and educators review and approve each script. In addition, our institutional content developers report outcomes yearly related to current care practices.
